
Why could I do with a loan?
Money is borrowed from the Credit Union for a variety of purposes: to buy bicycles, cars, furniture, for wedding expenses, holidays, car insurance, house extensions, or to start up a business. The amount is normally related to the members's pattern of saving.
How do I apply for a loan?
The granting of loans is dealt with by the Credit Committee which consists of 5 board members.
A member applying for a loan is interviewed by one of the members of the Credit Committee who assists in filling out a loan application form. Loans are granted vary from as low as €25 to over €30,000, according to the needs of the member.

How can I repay my loan?
Repayment can be over an agreed period (up to 5 years) with installments
payable weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Each time an installment is paid,
the interest is paid on the reducing balance. The rate of interest has
been fixed at 9.75%.
Please note the following conditions when applying for a loan:
- Members in employment must produce pay slips and bank statements
- Self employed members need a tax clearance certificate or end of year tax assessment form
- If a member is out sick, on maternity or paternity leave, a declaration of health form has to be filled in for loans over €6000.
- Members who are homemakers, unemployed or retired will have to fill in a declaration of health form for loans over €6000.
